Maladaptation by Adan Ramie

A drug deal gone wrong. The murder of an old friend. A stolen ride turned kidnapping. Three women follow the same path on a map plotted by murder. Who will survive?

Lee Barsten is a burnout on the run from a vicious drug dealer who will stop at nothing to make sure she pays for a debt he wants to collect in blood. Ruby Isles is a victim of spousal abuse trying desperately to get out and make a new life for herself. And Harry Thresher is a detective who doesn't play by the rules, but gets the job done - at a high price that is steadily catching up to her. Their lives collide as drugs, murder, and lust drive them to unexpected extremes.
Review: Wow, this plot really is gripping! Once I started reading I couldn't put the book down. Lee and Ruby are well written characters that drive the plot along amazingly. I highly recommend this book, and I'm already preparing to read more by this author.
