Are You Ready?

How ready are you for the zombie apocalypse? Now be honest to yourself, if you lie who really loses here? If it happened today would you survive? Of course you would, you’ve seen every single episode of The Walking Dead at least twice. George Romero is your personal hero and you have seen Night of the Living Dead more times than you can remember.
But one thing I have got to ask you, only very important thing, are you read for it? No that is the question, are you ready for it? You know as well as I do that the chance of any advanced knowledge that a immeasurable pile of shit is going to hit one hell of a big fan. When this happens there won’t be warnings, there won’t be a doctor sitting at a desk on the news saying, you know we are pretty sure in the next few weeks that there are going to be people dying and then coming back and wanting to eat you. Would that be nice? Hell yes it would, it’d be downright polite of the nation, but unless you like living in a pipe dream I do not see it happening like that.
Now this article isn’t to scare you, okay so maybe it is. But in my defense it could save you also, it could prepare you and make you think, telling yourself one thing and doing something else makes no sense and in the end who is it that suffers? The smoker that says that they will quit after this pack is done. The drinker that says well I hate to waste beer I need to make sure this twenty four pack is finished. For every vice there is a excuse and I am not above it myself.
Let me ask you a couple questions and if they are no, then you may or may not need to have yourself a come to Jesus meeting. Let us start with something easy. Do you own a gun? It wouldn’t surprise me if you did, one in three Americans do. Do you know how to shoot the gun? If not it is a really expensive paperweight but would not make a zombie who hasn’t the slightest clue what it is afraid. But moving forward, so you have a gun. Do you know how to fix the gun if it breaks? If not again, that is one hell of a paperweight. Now you have a gun, you know how to shoot the gun, and you can fix the gun, these are very useful things to know how to do. Most importantly with guns is their ability to kill zombies. If you were holding this gun, do you know how to aim it effectively so that you can hit one of these zombies at a close or possibly if you are damn lucky, far distance away? Now if you answer is no, then maybe you need to spend just a little more time down at your local gun range. If your answer is yes I have one last important question about the topic. So to recap, you have gun, you know how to shoot it, you know how to fix it. If you have this gun, let me ask you, if every single one of your neighbors turned on you and you were the last person on your block with a heartbeat would you have enough ammunition to take out all of them and all of the ones around it?
